2024 CSC Top-level Graduate Scholarship

Chinese Government Scholarship-Top-level Graduate Program is a full scholarship established by Ministry of Education to support Chinese universities to attract outstanding international students for graduate studies in China. Shenyang Jianzhu University is one of the prestigious universities designated to undertake this program to recruit graduate students for Master and Doctoral Programs.

Ⅰ. INTRODUCTION

Shenyang Jianzhu University established in 1948, is the only comprehensive university with its priority given to Civil Engineering and Architecture as well as multi-disciplinary education overlapping among engineering science, industry, literature, administration, nature science, agronomy and law in Liaoning Province.

Of the total area of 1,038,960 square meters and total building area of 590,000 square meters, the new campus is located in “college town” of Hunnan New District in Shenyang. The planning of the campus is full of people-oriented concepts and ideas of harmonious coexistence between nature and human being. A 756.31-meter corridor, which is the longest one in the Asia, connects teaching area, lab area, living area and administrative area together.

The university has 18 subordinate schools and 1,560 faculty members are working at SJZU currently, including more than 225 professors and 432 associate professors and 14 subject experts. Current enrollment consists of nearly 18,000 degree candidates, including 12,400 undergraduates, 5,400 graduates and doctorate students, more than 200 foreign students, and students enrolled in adult and professional schools. In the recent 6 years, the employment rate of new graduates consistently topped the list in Liaoning Province.

SJZU is entitled to confer Master’s Degrees in 33 programs and Doctoral Degrees in 5 programs. She also has 6 provincial major subjects and 8 provincial key laboratories. Undergraduate Education consists of 5 sciences and 35 subjects. Among them, 7 subjects are national approved and subjects of Civil Engineering & Architecture have both passed the evaluation of the Ministry of Education. The university was approved as an experimental school to cultivate excellent athletes of snow skiing, gymnastics in 2002. Shenyang Jianzhu University has set up sister relationships with more than 60 universities in 40 countries around the world. In this way, Shenyang Jianzhu University has strengthened its connection with the foreign universities worldwide.

Eligibility:

1. Applicants must be a citizen of a country other than the People’s Republic of China, and be in good health both mentally and physically.

2. Applicants must be a bachelor’s degree holder under the age of 35 when applying for master’s programs;

3. Applicants must be a master’s degree holder under the age of 40 when applying for doctoral programs;

4. Language requirement:

4.1 HSK certificate (within 2 years) is required for the Chinese-taught program:

Master programs: HSK 4 180 or above for majors;

Doctor programs: HSK 5 180 or above.

4.2 English certification is required for the English-taught program:

Submit a TOEFL or IELTS transcript, in principle, the score must be 80 or higher, and the IELTS score must be 6.0 or higher;

Applicants that use English as the language of instruction at the last education background, submit the language certificate issued by the last education institutions instead

Applicants from countries where English is the official language are exempt from proof of English language proficiency

Ⅱ.SCHOLARSHIP DETAILS

Full government scholarship covers the tuition fee, accommodation fee for dormitory on  campus and living allowance.   Full government scholarship doesn’t cover application fee, accommodation deposit, visa fee and medical examination fee.

Note:

1) Costs of the laboratory experiment or internship beyond the institution’s arrangements should be self-afforded.

2) Monthly allowance is granted to the students through the host institution at the following rates (CNY Yuan per month):

* Master Degree Students: 3,000 CNY/month

* Doctor Degree Students: 3,500 CNY/month

3) Comprehensive Medical Insurance.

4) Applicants are expected to pay for their own international travel expenses.

Ⅲ. Application Procedures and Time

1. Register and finish the online application at the CSC online Application (http://www.campuschina.org/);

2. Application Documents

1) Application Form for Chinese Government Scholarship (in Chinese or English);

2) Copy of Passport Home Page. If the validity of the applicant’s current passport does not meet the requirement( The passport should be valid later than September 2024);

3). Notarized highest diploma.;

4). Academic transcripts;

5). Language qualification certificates. Applicants for Chinese-taught programs must submit valid HSK reports in accordance with the corresponding Chinese proficiency requirements. Applicants for other language-taught programs shall provide relevant language proficiency certificates according to the universities’ requirements, like IELTS or TOFEL report;

6). Pre-admission documents.

7). A study plan proposal.;

8). Two recommendation letters.;

9). Example of art.;

10. Applicants under the age of 18 should submit the valid documents of their legal guardians in China;

11). A photocopy of the Foreigner Physical Examination Form completed in English (the original copy shall be kept by the applicant).

12). Non-criminal record report.

3. Deadline

March 1, 2024

Ⅳ. Admission Notice and Enrollment Time

The admission result will be notified at the end of July, 2024, and enrollment time will be September, 2024.
